Juan de la Lastra orders its constructions between 1565-72, probably under a project of Francisco de Salamanca, over a previous 15th century building owned by Licenciado Butrón. In 1637 it became the Convent of Santa Brígida and underwent a restoration process that included a new church with a single nave and a barrel vault by Manuel Izquierdo. Since 2002 it is the General Archive of the Regional Government of Castile-Leon.
